Important Notification to those parents who drop off their student(s) to catch the Shuttle Bus to Springfield in the mornings: Shuttle buses will now be parked at the rear of the Elementary Building instead of the rear of the High School Building beginning Tuesday, 08/20/24. Please be certain to drop off your student(s) between 6:50 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., as the shuttle buses will depart promptly at 7:05 a.m. Please do not hesitate to contact the Transportation Department at (937) 964-1672 or schoolbus@nwlschools.org with any questions or further clarification. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our own, Mr. Mark Hardacre. After his retirement, Mr. Hardacre became a bus driver for the Northwestern Local School District where he held a daily route for our students, drove our student-athletes to their sporting events, and helped transport students for our Summer Learning Program. According to his family and co-workers, Mark "loved the children and would pray daily for his most precious cargo". As seen in the pictures, Mr. Hardacre was proud to start his training with us in 2021 where he eventually claimed bus #23 from the fleet. IMPORTANT REMINDER TO ALL FAMILIES WHOSE STUDENT(S) WILL REQUIRE BUSING FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR: Completion and submission of the required online transportation form for the 2024-25 school year (via the OneView parent portal) was DUE July 1st, 2024. This form is required for all families needing busing beginning the first day of school, regardless of previous year's bus assignments. It provides us with the most updated information needed to maintain accurate records and helps us to ensure the safest routing for our students and most efficient routing for the district. If your student(s) will require busing to begin the 2024-25 school year, but have not yet submitted the online transportation form, please do so immediately. Otherwise, we will assume your student(s) do not require transportation and will assign them as such. Any forms or changes submitted beyond this time may result in no guarantee of transportation beginning the first day of school.
