Northwestern Family, The bus accident this morning claimed the life of one of our elementary students. We will not have classes tomorrow. We will have grief counselors available for anyone who needs additional support during this tragedy. The Elementary and the Jr/Sr High will open at 8am for students, staff, and community members who need assistance and want to talk to a mental health specialist. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families that have been impacted by this tragedy.

For all CTC and STEM students, if transportation is needed to CTC or STEM on August 23rd, they will need to self transport or they can catch the shuttle in the morning at the rear of the high school between 7:00 and 7:10am. The bus will leave promptly at 7:15am. Any questions, you can call 937-964-1672.

Northwestern Warriors, we are unsure when State Route 41 will reopen. It is closed between Ballentine Pike and the school. If you are planning on picking up your student(s) today, you will need to enter the campus from Penny Pike.

Northwestern Family, I am saddened to report that there was an Injury accident this morning involving one our buses. We are still gathering information and will share it with you as it becomes available. Currently, 41 is closed near the school. We will be dismissing at are usual times. We are expecting bus drop off times to be off this afternoon, so please be patient. I will send another update later today.

Attention NW families: The afternoon Preschool program has been CANCELLED today. Thank you for your understanding.

If your child was involved in the bus accident this morning, you will be notified very soon. A parent reunification center will be at German Township Firehouse. 3940 Lawrenceville Dr, Springfield, OH 45504 You can pick your child up once you've been contacted. More details to come.

Good Afternoon! Just a reminder from the Northwestern Clinics: All students in grades 7 and 12 must have updated meningococcal and Tdap vaccinations. Additionally, any new student to the district and students entering kindergarten must have a comprehensive shot record. These records are due on or before the first day of school. As of 9-6-23, students missing the above will be exempt from school. If your student will be requiring medication from the school nurses, medication release forms must be signed by a parent and physician. This includes over-the-counter and prescription medications. Release forms can be found on the Northwestern website under health and wellness. They can also be obtained from the front offices of both schools and/or from the nurses. Please Note: This year, students who qualify for reduced meals will receive free meals per the State of Ohio. This does not apply to the instructional fee waiver.
